Would you believe that Lent is just around the corner? Beginning on February 22nd, Lent Event is set to be a time of spiritual renewal and community building.
As you know, the essential resource for Lent is the Journey Guide – a six part discussion series for use with small groups and a 40 day devotional guide that people can use individually. The discussion series ‘This One Life’ will help people grow in faith and in their conviction to walk alongside our brothers and sisters living in material poverty.
We are very keen to make the Journey Guide widely available especially to small groups.
Can you help us by advertising the Journey Guide in your church notices and/or include a PowerPoint slide during your announcements?
An insert for the notices and slide for PowerPoint is below

Here is a brochure/order form for Lent Event Journey Guide for the Lent Event Coordinator or Small Group Coordinator to use for recording orders. Could you please forward this on to the appropriate person? We would be only to please to contact the small group coordinator to talk about the series if appropriate. (Please provide phone number or email contact details.)
Journey Guides can be purchased using the attached brochure/order form or by credit card at www.lentevent.com/resources/
We will contact you shortly about getting the Lent Event promotions happening in the weeks prior to Lent. Please do not hesitate to contact us if we can assist you in making Lent Event a great experience for your church in 2012.
Thank you once again for all you are doing to help bring about God’s mission of reconciling all creation.

Greetings from Wesley Institute!
The Apostle Paul provides us with a lot of challenges in contemporary living and understanding the nature of God’s activity in the world. He wrote letters, not textbooks or policy documents, yet his world was equally as complex as ours, even if it had less technology. His opinions often need to be unravelled from a mind that worked on a large canvas, so that the subtlety with which he wrote can be understood more clearly.
Another great day-long conference has been arranged for anyone wishing to understand more about the apostle Paul. To be held on Saturday 11 February 2012 at Wesley Institute the conference features Dr Michael Bird as the keynote speaker. As well, there are a host of other Australian scholars who have put their minds to the numerous issues that Paul dealt with in his writings, who will be presenting options sessions.
Further details are in the conference brochure.
